 Langtang/Helambu Region - LANGTANG GANJA LA PASS TREK (5200m.)

This trek is the most challenging in the area and requires full camping equipment. The Ganjala Pass is also difficult and can be dangerous when snow covered, so to ensure a safe crossing we must enquire locally about its condition. Some mountaineering experience is also necessary. We normally find that the pass is open from April to November, but unusual weather can alter its condition at any time.

Summary :
This pass crossing from Langtang into Helambu is steep and exposed and often closed by snow. There's no accommodation for several days.

OUTLINE ITINERARY
Day 01 : Pick up from the Int'T Airport, transfer Hotel & well come diner.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Day 03 : Kathmandu to drive a day bus to Syabrubesi (1550m).
Day 04 : Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2380m) (6:30 hours).
Day 05 : Lama Hotel to Langtang (3500m) (7 hours).
Day 06 : Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3890m) (4 hours).
Day 07 : Kyangjin Gompa Rest Excursion around Kyangjin Gompa.
Day 08 : Kyangjin Gompa to Ngegang (4000m) (4 hours).
Day 09 : Ngegang over Ganja-La pass & camp at Keldang (4270m)
Day 10 : Keldang to Dukpu (4080m) (7 hours)
Day 11 : Dukpu to Tarky Gyang (2600m) (6 hours).
Day 12 : Tarke Ghyang to Kakani dada (1900m) (7 hours).
Day 13 : Kakanidada to Melamchi Pull Bazaar & Drive to kathmandu.
Day 14 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu or free day & shopping.
Day 15 : Transfer to International Airport and fly home.

 Langtang/ Helambu Region
It is located north of Kathmandu and is best suited for the short stay tourists. It was declared National Park in 1976 and is a natural habitat of more than 1000 plants, 150 birds' species and numerous other mammals.
