 Langtang/Helambu Region - LANGTANG GOSAINKUNDA & HELAMBU TREK

Langtang and Helambu is most popular trekking route in Nepal and it is located central on Nepal north of Kathmandu offers a multitude of trekking destinations, all accessible without flights. The three major areas are Lang tang, Gosainkund and Helambu, which can be combined in many different ways to make treks from seven to16 days long.

Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m)and Naya Kangri (5846m)lie to the south; and Dorje Lakpa (6966m)protect the east end of the valley. The area was designated Nepal’s first Himalayan national park in1971.

Day 02 : Sightseeing in kathmandu Valley.
Day 03 : Kathmandu to drive to Syabrubensi (1550m).
Day 04 : Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel (2380m) (6:30 hours).
Day 05 : Lama Hotel to Lang tang village (3500m) (7 hours).
Day 06 : Langtang village to Kyangjin Gomba (3800m) (4 hours).
Day 07 : Kyangjin Rest (walk to Lerung Glacier).
Day 08 : Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (7 hours).
Day 09 : Lama Hotel to Thulo syabru (1860m) (6:30 hours).
Day 10 : Thulo Syabru to Shingomba (3250m) (6 hours).
Day 11 : Shing Gompa to Gosainkunda Lake (4380m) (7 hours).
Day 12 : Gosainkunda to Ghopte (4100m) (8 hours).
Day 13 : Ghopte to Melamchi Gauon (2530m) (7 hours).
Day 14 : Melachi Gaun to Tarkigyang (2600m) (5 hours).
Day 15 : Tarkighyang to Kakanidada (1900m) (7 hours).
Day 16 : Kakanidada to Melamchi pull Bazaar & Drive to kathmandu.
Day 17 : Sightseeing/Free day day in kathmandu.

 Langtang/ Helambu Region
It is located north of Kathmandu and is best suited for the short stay tourists. It was declared National Park in 1976 and is a natural habitat of more than 1000 plants, 150 birds' species and numerous other mammals.
